Austrian Standards stellt seit 1920 als unabhängige und neutrale Plattform einen transparenten Prozess zur Entwicklung von Standards in Österreich sicher. Als das österreichische Mitglied von CEN (European Committee for Standardization) und ISO (International Organization for Standardization) ermöglicht Austrian Standards allen, an der Entwicklung Europäischer und Internationaler Standards mitzuwirken. So wird sinnvolles und anerkanntes Fachwissen leicht zugänglich und anwendbar.

Standards sind von Fachleuten erarbeitete Empfehlungen. Sie sorgen in Österreich für ein Mehr an innovativer Wirtschaftsleistung in Höhe von rund 2,5 Mrd. Euro pro Jahr, machen das Leben einfacher und sorgen dafür, dass eins verlässlich zum anderen passt. Standards stehen für Qualität und damit für Vertrauen in Produkte und Leistungen.
