Die INTERNETOFFENSIVE ÖSTERREICH (IOÖ) versteht sich als Interessenvertretung aller Stakeholder im Bereich der Informations- und Kommunikationstechnologien (IKT). Durch ihren Status als beratendes Organ im Kompetenzzentrum Internetgesellschaft (KIG) der österreichischen Bundesregierung kann sie direkt und unmittelbar IKT-Projekten zur Umsetzung verhelfen. Diese Kooperation soll vor allem zu einer verstärkten Zusammenarbeit zwischen Politik und Wirtschaft führen, die Österreich als Standort für Informations- und Kommunikationstechnologien erfolgreich positioniert und im Networked Readiness Index (NRI) voran bringt.
